It was probably Pharaoh Mountain. My family used to take fishing trips into Pharaoh during the spring, and the high point was climbing the mountain to the fire tower. I am pretty sure that the fire tower was torn down though. I remember the legs being cut through on three side and the tower leaning bad the last time I was there. That was 10 year ago at least.

It must be Pharoah Mtn. We hiked up there both when the tower was there, and after it was taken down. We are actually taking our Grandson 9 (age 7) up to Schroon Lake in a few weeks, for his first hike of hopefully many into Goose Pond. But they closed the road going out to Crane Pond, so you have to hike up the road, then into the woods. This will make a future hike up Pharoah Mtn. very long, and it was long before..YIKES !!!

When did they close that road?! I just fished Goose Pond (great fishing there) in the first week of July. We drove all the way to the trail head. I hope they didn't close it permanently, carrying a Radisson all they way up that road would not be alot of fun..
