Thanks for the tip, about Crane Pond, Darleen. At Christmas we had the discussion about how if catching fish is too easy, it's not fun anymore. My brother-in-law said the simultaneous desire to want to catch trout while also wanting it to be difficult to catch trout is an example of Aristotle's Golden Mean. (!? I had to look it up.) But getting them to pose for a picture is even harder. However, this little guy had that line still attached. But his big brother, shot on the banks of the Deerfield River in Mass, had already been un-hooked and was catching his breath...

Tricky photo to get of these guys? Have you bring to Crane Pond in Schroon Lake. These little fella's line up at the walking bridge. You can almost dip your hand in and pick them up. Of course, I won't and they scramble rather quickly. Thanks for sharing the photos!
