We deliberately drive through the Adirondacks every year when we visit family back in CT. It makes the trip a little longer, but well worth it. Of course last year I got layed-off and didn't have any Medical insurance when we drove through. One of the kids cut their arm and needed stitches. Unemployment rates are up...

And while that may signal to slightly lower rates for a day or two until the next bit of data comes out and rocks the markets; the level of unemployment in this country is unacceptable. Employers nervous about the wobbly economy are agitating the situation. How are home sales doing for you?...

From what I hear they are struggling...Not so much for some of my marketing partners but I have been reading articles and blog posts from all around the country lately that have been citing numbers suggesting that sales are down as low as 40% to 50% from the same time last year. Great Referral From the Park.

I recieved a great referral yesterday. It is for a purchase in Lake Placid. During our first conversation yesterday I asked him "who was the Realtor that sent you". He was not sure because his wife had been dealing with the Realtor (I'll find out today who it is when I speak to him again). I Have a very good recipe that I would like to share with you all. It is very simple and tasty. I make homemade beef stroganoff. Here it is, I hope you like it;

Ok, what you need;

1 LB of fresh cut mushrooms
2 LBS ground beef
2 5 ounce cans of evaporated milk
1/2 cup olive oil
1 cup flour

Folks, found this recipe from Mrs. Helen LeVien, an Adirondacker, who lived her life in the Adirondack Park in Elizabethtown, NY - Essex County Government seat. Looks delicious and I'm going to try tonight:

Supreme Potato-Onion Bake
