And while that may signal to slightly lower rates for a day or two until the next bit of data comes out and rocks the markets; the level of unemployment in this country is unacceptable.
Employers nervous about the wobbly economy are agitating the situation. I have read several referendums issued by employers nationwide who indicate that they will not committ to mass hiring until they have some assurances that the recovery of the economy is well under way.
Of course we are caught in a bit of a catch 22 right now. The economy cannot recover without the American worker... The consumer(s) and their spening habits make up more than two thirds of what goes into our economy.
Our governement stepped in to bail out investment bankers who made risky bets but the American worker is being left behind. Our governments efforts have been misguided as they have been on the wrong side of many issues for the past 8 years. In particular they are on the wrong side of the Housing, Credit, and Financial crisis that we are facing.
We need reform in this country and that is why I am supporting Barack O'bama for President of the United States. Many of my colleagues are republican and I honestly agree with many republican fundamentals. However, George Bush has lead this country astray under the guise of a republican leader.
I normally do not write about things political because I know that so many different people have different opinions on the topic and sometimes it can be touchy. Well, one of the reasons that I like Barack and something that I am sure that we can all agree on is that we all need a CHANGE in this country!
